A gift a month.... Notepads!

My DD and I get together every once in a while and try to find great ways to use of scraps! Well.. my DD found a great fun way to use a few scraps and make a gift and use the "leftovers" at the same! These are the three I made! 1 more gift down! and I am feeling on top of the game this year!

S- Shop'n bag with the dog fabric... She put a lot of work into this bag with French seams!

A gift a month... Dish Rag!

These are one of my fav. things to make in my downtime, freetime, sofa time, craft time, ANYTIME! They are a super quick cotton dish rag! A roll of cotton yarn, a set of knitting needles, and memory... However, since you do not have my memory for the pattern you can find it on the back of the "sugar and spice" cotton yarn! Happy knitting! and Yippie me... I am staying with it!

Last night the Little Beast was in full form!  She would run up and bite my feet then run away.  When I told her to stop biting me she just look at me like “who me”?  I couldn’t get mad at her she is just too cute.

It's One Flower Wednesday!

It's that time of the week.  I have been very busy this week and it's only Wednesday.  I didn't forget to vote!  The chicken pen needs a good cleaning!  Started my new class yesterday, only have six more to go then I have my degree!  But I made time for my flower.

 

While in Vegas last weekend I stop at one of their local quilt shops (http://www.christmasgoose.com/) and found a wonderful pattern for quick and easy pot holders! This pattern inspired my "gift a month"! They are so quick and easy it is almost scary. I also found a tutorial for these little buggers ( tutorial )

NEW LIFE:  Here is the newest addition to my chicken family!  There are three now.  Hope she has a few more after all the effort she has put into sitting on all of those eggs!  The temperature is only 92 degrees for the last week.  I just love my chickens!

I joined a secret swap where you make an item for your partner and then you recieve something from a completely differnt partner! Well I was coupled with a young lady from across the sea and she confirmed she recieved her items and was extremely excited! I felt the need to do the same!

I recieveda thread holder, little jean bag, lavendar sa-shay. I know that this picture doesnt show it well but there is a little flower Yo-Yo on the front of the jean bag and I LOVE IT! Christmas through the year! I am so proud of my ability to keep up with this challenge. I also know at the end of the year when I am wanting to hand out homemade items I will not have to have a zillion sleepless nights in December to make them!

Here is another Flower! This is going to be a fun quilt to put together I can feel it!

Gifts throughout the year! Hot pads super fun, super quick, and super easy!

So I have made progress on my UFPs BOM project. I have now orginized and collected all of my unfinshed BOM project. My little Febbie has decided that she is going to help me by keeping them warm. So here is to getting these BOMs done!

Didn't do much this weekend in the craft area because my son just gave me another beautiful baby girl! Her name is Kinsey! I spent the weekend in AZ. with my other 2 grand-kids while my daughter in law recovered! We had a blast and I sure love hanging out with them!

Good intentions

This weekend I set out a goal to attend the Saturday Lone Star adventure and went to find a project and space in my sewing room and found myself coming up short on both of those. So I decided I would clean up a bit in hopes of finding a project and the counter top in my sewing room! Little did I know I spent the entire day in that little room and worked myself in circles with no real result! I found a lot of UFPs and UMHO (Uni-diffed Missing a Home Objects) for some reason some of my little pieces ran away from their homes and I am not really sure what home they belong in. I have decided that my craft room is a nightmare and shall be cleaned up before I can play!

So hopefully by next get together I have my room enough together that I am able to join you ladies!
